Solution Implementation Specialist (Nationwide, U.S.A.)

Position Objective:

The Solution Implementation Specialist (SIS) is the technical subject matter expert relative to the Solutions, and Professional Service strategies for CounterTack’s Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions and platforms. The SIS is a dedicated professional committed to supporting solutions both in pre-sales, and post sales technical activities, implementation and project management of solution offerings, as well as post sale support for applications and professional services to our clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Solution Specialist is responsible for customer driven and post-sale support activities including installation, project management, training, customization and ongoing servicing of CounterTack’s solutions.
  • Responsible for coordination of resources for product installation and training services as defined in the Scope of Work or deployment guide documentation.
  • Expand CounterTack Professional Services opportunities by identifying customer post sale workflow and training requirements, w Create and/or develop Engagement letters, Site Surveys, Scope of Work (SOW) preparation and integration projects where appropriate.
  • Responsible for development of customized solutions for Proof of Concepts, Technical Pilots, and customer deployments, including deployment and planning guides.
  • Serve as escalation point in resolving solutions issues.
  • Maximize the use of remote connectivity tools for installations and servicing, but must have the ability to travel on short notice, and potential extended lengths of time. Both domestic and international travel is a pre-requisite.
  • Maintain education training standards and certifications levels in line with job requirements and advancement development plans.

Education and Experience:

  • Industry Standard technical certifications preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • CISSP, and other security related certifications desirable.
  • 3-5 years relevant solutions installation and support experience.
  • Strong background and experience (system administrator level) in Unix (Linux, CentOS, RedHat) and Microsoft (Server 2008, 2012) operating systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of system hardware and virtualization (VMWare, HyperVisor, VDI, etc.) environments.
  • Working knowledge with Big Data Solutions (Apache Hadoop, Cloudera, etc.) and Cloud based hosting solutions (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc).
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory management and configuration settings, along with associated Microsoft enterprise management tools such as MSI, SCCM, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with information security fundamentals and solutions such as access and authorization, encryption, x.509 certificates, SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and network monitoring solutions such as BlueCoat, Websense, FireEye, log management solutions such as Splunk, etc.
  • Strong background and experience in network topologies, protocols, peripherals and systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft (XP, Win7, 8, 10), MAC, and Linux PC clients and desktops.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard desktop management and security tools such as patch management, anti-virus, endpoint asset management tools, etc.
  • Strong background and experience using and manipulating Simple APIs, XML schemas, markup, extensibility and encoding. Experience with Mitre’s CybOX an added plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with on-site customer relations will be required.
  • Exposure and practical experience in project management.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestic and international.
  • Working knowledge of project management processes.
  • Capable of multitasking within a fast-paced demanding environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license with access to reliable and presentable transportation
  • Must be authorized to legally be employed in the United States
